Families of all faiths are welcomed into a close-knit community built on belonging, partnership, and a shared commitment to helping every child flourish.
More than a school
Families want more than a place where children complete assignments and earn grades. They want a community where their children are safe, understood, appropriately challenged, and supported as whole people.
At John Ireland, faith, learning, relationships, and service are woven together throughout the school day.
Our smaller school community allows teachers and families to work closely together. Students receive the structure and support they need while also developing independence, confidence, leadership, and responsibility.
Whether a family is exploring preschool, full-time kindergarten through sixth grade, or a Homeschool Hybrid partnership, John Ireland offers an educational experience centered on the individual child and strengthened by community.
The John Ireland Difference
Children Are Known Personally

Strong learning begins with strong relationships. Our teachers take time to understand each child’s abilities, interests, personality, learning needs, and goals. Smaller learning communities allow students to receive meaningful attention, thoughtful feedback, and support designed to help them grow. Students are not simply members of a grade level. They are valued individuals whose voices, experiences, and gifts contribute to the school community.
Learning is
Connected and Purposeful

Students learn more deeply when they understand how ideas relate to one another and why their learning matters.
John Ireland uses an integrated approach to curriculum. Teachers create intentional connections among reading, writing, mathematics, science, social studies, religion, art, technology, and real-world experiences.
Students are given opportunities to ask questions, investigate ideas, create, collaborate, solve problems, and apply their knowledge in meaningful ways.
Combined Classrooms Build Community and Leadership

Students in grades 1–6 learn in thoughtfully structured combined classrooms:
- Grades 1–2
- Grades 3–4
- Grades 5–6
Teachers use grade-level standards, assessment information, flexible instructional groups, differentiated lessons, and carefully planned curriculum cycles.
Combined classrooms allow students to learn with and from one another while developing leadership, confidence, collaboration, and a strong sense of responsibility for their classroom community.
Faith is Lived Throughout the Day

Catholic identity is not limited to religion class. Prayer, weekly Mass, Scripture, virtue formation, service, and respect for the dignity of every person shape the daily life of John Ireland Catholic School.
Students learn that faith calls them to act with compassion, courage, gratitude, justice, forgiveness, and love. Families do not need to be Catholic to attend John Ireland. Students and families of all faith traditions are welcomed and valued as they participate respectfully in the school’s Catholic environment.
Our Learning Pathways
Preschool
A joyful beginning
John Ireland Preschool provides young children with a nurturing, faith-filled environment where they learn through play, relationships, movement, exploration, creativity, and hands-on discovery.
Children build early academic skills while also developing confidence, communication, independence, friendships, and a sense of belonging.

Kindergarten
A strong foundation
Kindergarten students build foundational skills in literacy, mathematics, faith, communication, creativity, and problem-solving. Predictable routines, active learning, caring relationships, and individualized support help children develop the confidence and independence they need for elementary school.

Grades 1-6
Learning with connection and purpose
Students in grades 1–6 learn through an integrated curriculum, combined classrooms, flexible instructional groups, collaborative learning, and meaningful projects.
Students develop strong academic skills while learning to think critically, communicate clearly, lead responsibly, and connect their knowledge with the world around them.

Homeschool Hybrid
Flexible learning strengthened by community
John Ireland’s Homeschool Hybrid option connects home-educating families with selected academic, enrichment, faith, and community experiences. The program is designed for families who want to maintain an active role in home education while giving their children opportunities to learn, create, worship, build relationships, and participate in a school community.

Mission and History
Rooted in Gospel Values
John Ireland Catholic School is devoted to forming students who understand that knowledge and ability carry responsibility.
Students are encouraged to:
- Recognize the dignity of every person
- Practice compassion and forgiveness
- Seek truth and justice
- Serve others cheerfully
- Develop their God-given gifts
- Use those gifts for the good of their community
Faith formation happens through classroom instruction, prayer, Mass, the liturgical year, virtue development, sacramental preparation, service, and daily relationships. Our Catholic identity calls us to welcome others, care for those in need, and help every child understand that they are created, known, and loved by God.
